These are very accomplished pieces of work Alex and you have adhered to the codes and conventions of the magazine medium very well. Just a couple of suggestions for improvements.
the music magazine could do with more taglines down the left hand side of the page, it's important that the cover suggests good value for money for the audience and the cover needs to show this through the content.
Also, the dog magazine is very good but the colours don't work very well. the yellow used for the headlines doesn't stand out enough against the pale background of the floor tiles. Also, I think you should use a different colour for the headlines to that chosen for the masthead.
Finally, the choice of a serif font for the main headline on the cover is poor- it's too formal for a magazine that is designed to be read for leisure.
